50 steel is a medium-carbon high-strength carbon structural steel, corresponding to Japanese grades S50C/S53C and German grades 1.1213/CF53.

50 steel is a medium-carbon high-strength carbon structural steel, corresponding to Japanese grades S50C/S53C and German grades 1.1213/CF53. The standard it follows is GB/T 711-2017. It has excellent machinability and uniform microstructure, and is suitable for surface hardening treatments such as high-frequency quenching and flame quenching. This material can improve cutting performance after quenching or normalizing. It has low hardenability and the surface hardness can reach 45-52 HRC after quenching. It is mainly used to manufacture mechanical parts and tools with high wear resistance and capable of withstanding dynamic loads. The surface hardness of the unquenched material is 28-32 HRC.

Heat treatment specifications: quenching at 830 ℃± 20 ℃, oil cooling; Tempering at 540 ℃± 50 ℃ (± 30 ℃ if necessary).
